Holly's Horses

So I got a great email from a past client, Holly & Neal. We had photographed their wedding, a few years ago, and their son Lane recently. Well, she has started her own horse care and rider training farm.

I am so proud of her. She is an amazing person that has such a kind hand with animals. I look forward to visiting her soon to go riding. Please take a look at her new website Topside Farm.

Hopefully, I will have some great photos of the farm soon. For now, I wanted share some great moments from our last portrait.

Nolan 4 months

I am always so honored when people travel to visit me. Recently, Nolan and his family drove two hours to our studio for a portrait. And as any parent knows, driving with a 4 month old can be wonderful or a disaster. But with smiles, the whole family arrived.

Nolan was wonderful the whole time. He was always ready with a great smile.
Seeing the whole family together, having such a wonderful time just being a family, reminds me to smile. Sometimes life is just wonderful being with the people you love; be it cuddling on the couch or at a wedding.

Friday

Everyone loves a Friday afternoon, and mine was made today be receiving this email:

"just wanted to say thank you to neil for our beautiful photos. i couldn't even wait to get them in frames and on the walls, they look wonderful! i could stare at my children all day. and thanks to you for capturing their personalities in images i will be able to gaze at forever!!

thanks again and we'll be seeing you again,
gretchen"

People always wonder how and why we are so passionate; well when we have clients that make us feel this good, how can we not be so in love with what we do.

Smiles to all and have a great weekend.

Home Depot

In starting a little spring cleaning at home, my kids found their Halloween Costumes. . . Well that combined with an evening Home Depot run, made for silly lion and monkey driving. If you have every seen these carts, they are awesome to run around Home Depot in. I strongly advise on a little Home Depot racing, regardless if you actually need anything from there. . .
Izzy as a lion and Daisy as a Monkey, with my rocking wife as Daisy's engine.

Front Room in Chi-town

We went to Chicago to meet with some other photogs and have a night out. The meeting wasn't all that interesting, but hanging with the 'crew' was great.
nothing like the kind stranger to offer to get a photo of us. For those that don't know, we are (left to right) Mark, Neil, Eron, and Calfa.
And see, we are just like everyone else, making stupid faces for the camera. But overall, we are so blessed to have such amazing people to work with us. Aside from their talent as photographers, we make sure that anyone that joins us is a good soul.

New Galleries

Please take a look at our new portfolio's. I have updated the photos and would love to have some feedback on the new photos. We have found choosing photos so difficult, for we tell a story and trying to show all that we do in 24 images is tough. But what do you think of them?

Pearl

As you might know, I have twin girls that are 2 1/2. So when I recently had the pleasure of photographing Pearl, I found all the beauty of my girls in this sweetheart.

She has great long lashes that make your heart melt.

Pearl was sweet enough to give me a Valentine's kiss. . .

Conner & Brekham - Update

Carrie sent me this email and I just had to share it:

"I am sitting here viewing Conner’s pictures and I am crying. I my son’s are so beautiful as corny as that may sound. I would have never thought you would have captured such loving and warm portraits of them!
Thank you, thank you, I love your work!!!"

Alright, how do I not get teary off of this. I love my job, my clients and life. The photos I create would be nothing without such special people to enjoy them.

Conner & Brekham

We have been very lucky in having a lot of portraits . Carrie & Mike had us take their photos a couple of years ago, photos of the ir son Conner , and now of their new son Brekham.

I had a lot of fun, even if I had to bribe Conner with a sucker for him to sit still. . .

Maternity

So, I had this wonderful woman come in for a great maternity portrait. This is a surprise for her husband, so I cannot use her name or her face. I hope soon, I can show more of these photos off.

I must say that, all of my client so honor me, by coming at such pivotal points in their life to have me record them. Thank you, you make my life so special.
