Swing Dancing

We have such amazing clients. They are so passionate about each other and life. Their passion for what they do, energizes me in my life.

Yesterday Maureen and Stephanie came in to talk to us, and after about an hour and a half we said "good bye", but I think we could have spoken all night.

I love to dance, although my technique is pretty bad.

Maureen is a swing dance instructor for Jumpin' Jive Club. She is amazing at what she does and seems to be a psuedo match maker in class. So many of her couple have gotten married. Well she teaches swing at the Milwaukee Ale House on Tuesdays and each first friday of each month at KC Hall.

I would highly suggest that all of you that want to take some dance lessons before your wedding check her out. More so, dancing is so much about listening to your partner, this might be the best therapy for a marriage.

If you have any questions or need more info, please give Maureen a call 262-54swing or look for details on her website jumpinjiveclub.com.

Art of the Dress

I have held these photos for a while waiting for them to be published. Many have seen the article in Wisconsin Bride. We photographed Erin Nycz, one of our brides from 2006 last September. She wore an amazing gown from Premiere Couture.

We met for a sunrise shot and headed down to the beach. I was amazed to see how much fun and freeing it is for a bride to relax and play in her gown. Any worries of keeping her hair, makeup, or dress perfect is gone. We were able to play.

Please know that as beautiful as Erin is, she is not a model. Well she is as pretty as one but this is her in her dress being a bride. We are just that lucky to have this great of clients.

Destination Wedding

So I couldn't sleep last night. I drinking a large cup of strong coffee to get going. . .

Then I couldn't decide what to Blog about today. . .

I looked through our archives of photos to Blog and found these:

We met Barb at a Destination Wedding in Vermont. I cannot say how special she is and what she meant to us. She not only is a beautiful soul but just a great person. She owns a catering company called: Let's Pretend.

The reason I bring this up is two fold. We meet such wonderful people in our job. I love that our lives get to intersect with others and enrich all around us.

Also, we get a lot of people telling us that they would like us to do an engagement session, but they are getting married somewhere else. We happily travel. We have photographed throughout Ireland, the Netherlands, France, the Caribbean, and 27 states. So, please talk to us, we love to travel and meet new people.

Beautiful Monday

I was up early today, getting my kids ready for school, when Izzy noticed that the sky was pink. She noticed a great sunrise this morning. We also sat and looking at the beautiful Monday sky. With pink clouds and a soft blue background, I knew that this week was going to be good.

Sometimes in life there are little things that make the difference. Be it a smile or a hug. We have tried to transfer this to all that we do. I hope that we can always wow you with great advice or amazing photos.

Also,

we are going to be Vegas March 14-19. I am possibly planning on doing some shooting while there. If you have an itch go to some place warm, send me an email. I am looking for some real couples or brides to photograph there. I do not want models but real people. I believe that we specialize in bring out real emotions and personality; therefore I am looking for some dynamic people to photograph for free while there.

Booking Season

'tis the season for people to book us for their wedding. We had four interviews today, with two of them booking on the spot. People always ask when they should book, and we often tell them when they feel comfortable. The sooner the better, for when we have to tell people that the date is gone and we are unavailable, that is always hard.

We are getting pretty booked up for 2008. So if you have the passion for our work, we would love to see you soon.

Annoncement

Yesterday, I had a great meeting with other vendors in the Madison area about creating a network of professionals to help educate brides. So we want to do something different that just offer a wedding show. We are looking at meeting every other month and offer seminars for brides to learn the ins and outs of weddings. This way you can save time and meet vendors, ask questions and not spend your whole life trying to learn how to plan your wedding. We will have seminars and Q&A for you also.

Our first show will be March 12, look for more info soon.

Kunz Family

So you might not recognize the people, but this is Vicki from La Tulipe. Her flower work is amazing and often seen in our studio.

So this is a rare time when I can photograph someone that is usually on the other side, making brides and events look amazing.

I am catching up on my blogging, but I love to see the portraits this time of year. I enjoy seeing the expressions of children change. Warms my heart when it is so cold out.

Madison

Front Room is in Madison this weekend at the WP&G Wedding Show. We are having a great time meeting with new people, seeing clients, and other wonderful vendors.

If you are out today, drive carefully, but we would love to see you.

We have also been able to hang out with Premiere Couture. They are absolutely amazing and have some new dresses from Badgley Mischka that are just amazing. I cannot tell you how much I love their lines of dresses and their service.

I had a great conversation with one of my brides, Cary; about how finding a great vendor is so much more then their product. So much of it comes to the service and the experience they offer. I completely agree.

We love out clients so much, they are all so special and I think that they deserve the best of everything. Thank you to all of them for making us soo happy.
