Wow have we been busy lately. We have completely done how we print albums, to make sue that they are the best that they can be. We do almost all of our own printing in house. I just don’t believe that anyone will care and prints as well as we do.

I had a great wedding on Friday with Jayme from Beyond Elegant Events. I was so impressed with her great skill at keeping the day rolling so smoothly. Her ability to let the Bride and Groom enjoy the day while keeping everything on time was great. Look for the photos on Friday’s Blog.

Saturday I photographed a fiends wedding, which is always fun to do. The groom told me that the only way to really love your spouse is with unconditional love, truly unconditional. Made me stop and think how often am is my love truly unconditional.

Alright, a little too heavy for a Sunday.

I am itching to see a great movie. Well I am itching more so for some popcorn from the Oriental Theater. I think they must have the best popcorn in the world. Either I am looking for a great movie recommendation.

Sunday thoughts

We have been really busy lately. We are getting ready to do our Open House July 25th. All are going to be welcome to come, if you are a client or not. Please feel free to email us if you would like an invite and are not currently a client. (We will be offering some special offerings...)

We are just about to reveal a new idea for portraits. I have been photographing children for a while and wanted to change up the look. Get ready for something completely different then anything you have seen around here.

Front Room had three weddings this weekend, in the rain. Now, the weather does affect the photos, but not always in a bad way. In that we may not be able to get the outdoor photos that we usually get; however, this does lead us to think more creatively and sometimes get some really cool photos. Check back on Wednesday for the BLOG post about Liz & Ricky. I spent some time in the women's lounge at the reception getting some really cool vintage photos. (Location can be a state of mind. I pride ourselves on being able to find something beautiful anywhere we go.)

Also, we are going to be starting BBQ Thursdays. In that we are going to close the office for an hour on Thursday and BBQ. All are welcome to come by for a hot dog or veggie dog. Please come on by and say "hi".

Today, Izzy has a 104 fever. We went to urgent care, only to be sent home with a Popsicle. She was super cudlely and she and I fell asleep on my lazy boy together. Having a sick child is so emotionally hard. I am so thankful that she is not sicker, but I wish I could make her and all kids better.

Last summer I photographed a baby tat was terminal for his parents. Really tough but these parents are amazing, they offered his organs to other parents with sick children. So even though they lost their son, so many other parents were given the gift of life to their children. I think this might be one of the greatest sacrifices a parent can go through.

There is a great organization called "Now I lay me do to sleep" They coordinate free photography for the parents with children that are sick and will not be with us for long. Please support this group or pass their name along to anyone that might need them.

I offer all of my help to any parent that may be faced with a tough choice. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can help. My services are free and I promise that your love for your child will not go unnoticed.

Please take some time to call, write or hug someone you love today. Be it a parent, sibling, or partner; they all need to know how much we appreciate the love we are given.

So, I have been very lucky. In that, I am blessed with a great family and a job I am passionate about. Lately, I have noticed what amazing people my clients are to each other. Watching all of the families interact. In that the way in which they express their love for one another in front of my eyes is amazing.

I saw a couple of completely different examples of this last week with my clients. It started with a portrait of a rescue dog and witnessing the owner’s tenderness with her.
I then photographed a family (which we are photographing a wedding for this weekend, stay tuned, it is going to be killer…) Seeing the parents interact with their daughters was breath taking. In that they were not just parents, but great friends.
Then, I photographed a high school senior and her mom. Seeing the tenderness in her mom's eyes as she watched her daughter being photographed. Then to see the two interact as they laugh together.

All of these people took time to appreciate the love around them. To stop their day and realize the beauty in front of them.

Well, hopefully this isn't turning a little to cheesy. (If so, I will stop) But through these ever so brief descriptions, I have realized that beautiful people surround me. Each and every one of you has an impact on my life. You remind me to love my family just a little more and appreciate the world.
